Public holiday hours

There are public holidays just around the corner in April, we hope you are planning for a happy and relaxing break. A reminder that all library branches will be closed over the Easter long weekend and Anzac Day.
 
Closed dates are Friday 18 to Monday 21 April inclusive, and Friday 25 April
 
Return chutes will remain open throughout the weekend, but no items will be due on these days. eBooks, audiobooks, and other digital library resources are available 24/7 via our website.

School holiday programs

Bookings for all school holiday programs open at 10am on Monday 31 March. Set a reminder on your phone and bookmark the sessions you're keen on to ensure you don't miss out!

Spark your child’s imagination at our fun-filled Scratch coding session. Learn the basics of programming by bringing ideas to life with colourful, drag-and-drop blocks, creating playful games and animations. The week commencing Monday 7 April at Sam Merrifield, Niddrie, Avondale Heights and Flemington Libraries.

News from Moonee Valley City Council

The Playground Project Melbourne 
The international blockbuster Playground Project is taking over the Incinerator Gallery this June - October and is set to delight and inspire all ages. Celebrating and inspiring the ways children engage and interact in our local suburbs, this project has been specially commissioned with guest exhibition curator Gabriela Burkhalter, and Daniel Baumann of Kunsthalle Zürich, to offer a fun and thought-provoking social experience.   
 
Making its Australian debut in our very own Incinerator Gallery, the Playground Project invites an immersive exploration of creativity, play, and social interaction in an urban landscape. 
 
Playground design isn’t just child’s play – it is an artform. Get ready to experience the best of modern and contemporary art and design with the Playground Project.
